Space for Success

i-education accessed the former Business Doncaster Space for Success scheme after acquiring office space in Doncaster to convert the building into a series in incubator offices for creative and digital businesses called ‘D-Hub’

The vision for d-hub was to bring together local, innovative business, creating synergy in operation for this important sector for the borough.

The space for success scheme supported the creation of offices spaces for five businesses as well as offering virtual office services and meeting spaces.

Wage Subsidy Programme

Using a former wage subsidy programme, provided by Business Doncaster, i-education were able to recruit and employ two Doncaster residents whom had a strong interest in the i-education area of business, but had no formal training or experiences within the sector.

The scheme reduced the financial risk to i-education pertaining to wages, but instead enabled the business to invest in the training of the employees.

Throughout the duration of the programme, i-education developed the employees into fully employed and skilled members of staff who contribute to the continued development of the business.

i-education won a Business Doncaster ‘Employer of the Year’ Award for their work within the wage subsidy scheme and one employee who came through the scheme won a ‘Trainee of the Year’Award.
