Kirsten Webb is a top salon stylist, assessor and deliverer. Bridie Kilgar is a senior stylist within a top salon who is currently progressing onto further qualifications for teaching to accompany the vast qualifications she already has.
Together, Kirsten and Bridie decided they would like to set up a business that offered training in the hairdressing industry and for the qualifications not to be bound so tightly by timescales, offering a more flexible approach to clients.
The programmes that they offer are levels 1, 2 and 3 NVQ based learning and can be adapted to suit individuals on a one to one basis or to small groups. By offering this personal touch they hope it will help learners achieve the best training possible.
Kirsten has had support through Business Doncaster on general business advice, information on forming a limited company and objectives of the business. She has also had further information from a second advisor on how to raise her business profile, looking at funding streams in which she may access and further general business. She has also been referred to a Business Buddy for assistance to create a marketing strategy for her business.
Both Kirsten and Bridie are continually looking at ways to develop Headlines, they always have the client at the heart of everything they do and want to offer them the very best in service. Their latest idea is to welcome schools to use them for the level 1 programme and they hope to gain contacts and work with them in the near future.
