Becky Keene is passionate about what she does, she saw on the internet someone selling some fancy dress costumes and thought to herself that there wasn’t a shop over her side of Doncaster and felt that it was an idea that could really work. She bought the costumes and continued to buy her stock from the same website.

Having come up with an idea for a business, Becky needed to set the ball rolling if she were to make her business a success. Having had no previous experience in business, she contacted Business Doncaster for support and was referred to a business advisor.

Becky had one to one assistance from her business advisor and went through business planning, marketing, premises including leases; start up costs, cash flow and insurance. This help made sure she had everything in place before she started. Since being in touch, her advisor has been monitoring Becky’s progression and says this has been fantastic.

Fantazy Dresses has now opened as a fancy dress hire shop in Armthorpe. It stocks a wide variety of costumes for hire and purchase and caters for different themes, different eras, different ages. Becky caters for men, women and children. She is very enthusiastic about her new business and welcomes the challenge of juggling her work life with her two children.
